Admixture To Concrete "KDIC"

Superpastifying Admixture For Concretes And Solutions

KDIC is an superplastifying admixture that is a mixture of polycarboxylates, lignosulphonates, ethoxylated alcohols and organic modifiers. It is used for concrete and cement mortars. KDIC corresponds the demands of superplastifying admixtures EN 934-2:2001, DSTU БВ.2.7-171-2008, NEQ.

Usage:

  • Custom concrete with easy laying from P1 to P5;
  • Custom concrete with long transportation period;
  • Custom concrete with long keeping of necessary consistence;
  • Custom concrete with enlarged strength during all period of hydration;

Next advantages are achieved when using of admixture:

  • Increasing of mobility of mortar mixture from P1 to P5;
  • Lowering of concrete water need for 25%;
  • Concrete economy up to 20%;
  • Increasing of longevity of concrete.

That lets to reach:

  • Low water-concrete proportion (W/C) because of water drainage high level, which results in high density and strength of concrete.
  • Lowering of water need leads to increase of concrete density that in its turn increases concrete waterproofing (up to W10) and freezing resistance (up to F300)
  • Good workability and high mobility of mortar (which results in considerable lowering of costs for stacking and poly-roll of mortar)

Recommendations for usage
Possible dosage: 0.5 - 3% from concrete weight
Recommended dosage: 0.8 - 1.2% from concrete weight

Preparation of concrete mixture
KDIC is recommended to add to mortar when producing concrete on plants or on construction sites simultaneously with mixing water but before other admixtures.
To reach necessary water draining characteristics it is recommended an optimal stirring time not less than 5 minutes.
In case of additional dosage necessity directly on the construction site it is necessary to use the same admixture which was used on the plant.
In case of additional dosage necessity in concrete mixer truck it is necessary to provide equal distribution of admixture in the mortar, for this the time of stirring should be from 1 minute for 1 m3 of concrete but not less than 5 minutes.
